Deep breath. Hold. Let it past. April 2, 2007

Last Friday I almost lost someone really important to me because of a meltdown of frustration and anxiety.

My friend Princess Vespa writes on her blog :

"…the hardest thing about losing love… is finding your way back…in some occasions, we "suck it up" for the wrong person, in others we blow up on the "right" person and ruin what could be a good thing. then regretted the emotional eruption after…"

So true.
It’s hard to tell who is the right or the wrong person with whom you bend or refuse to bend.
I realise just this past weekend that it’s not too bad to trust your heart but the skill lies in patience.

You may not see clearly what your heart wishes for until later.
It may be rash to take any action past the point of no return because regret is most bitter thing to swallow.

It’s important to trust your heart a little,
and give it a little time to crystalize into something your brain can understand.
Take a deep breath and hold it in like when you suck up the pain of a wound.
Wait for it to past.
Switch off your brain and let your heart tell you what you want.

I really think that there is something about the person who manages to get under our skin despite what we rationally believes.
There must be an absolutely good reason why you lose your head over someone in a positive or negative way.
Especially if you are usually a logical person. It means something bigger than what our brains can tell us.
And no matter how bad the process is and what kind of pain it generates along the way,
there has to be a very good reason behind it.

Some people call it karma.
Some people call it bane.
Some people call it love.
It really does not matter afterall.
It just happens for a reason we cannot understand.

So stop asking why. And just let it be.
